The Little Truckee also has some good flows for this time of year and will be running a lot colder than the main river due to it coming out of the bottom of stampede reservoir. The fishing pressure remains pretty heavy here, however, and the fish are notoriously selective. Midges and PMD's have been the main bugs out here and anglers should have a good assortment of these bug patterns and a long leader with 6x tippet! due to the cold water temps fish will be active most of the day but the good dry fly fishing will be in the evening and fishing until dusk will often provide the larger fish of the day.
Thank you for reading our report and tight lines!
